What is a "SVA or INTEGRA Valve Signalling Monitor”?
It is a valve monitor designed to automate Namur standard rotary valves signalling the valve's open or closed positioning locally or remotely. The SVA or INTEGRA monitors were developed to provide Ex dual protection combining an Ex d explosion-proof housing with internal position sensors that use Ex e increased safety, and Exm encapsulation, and solenoid valve coil can combine Ex d with Ex em.
How does the SVA check the valve positioning?
Through inductive or magnetic sensors incorporated to monitor that detects the magnetic or metal actuator installed on the local signaller. The sensing is completely contactless and signals can be sent to a control system.
Is there mechanical wear between the monitor and the valve positioning signaller?
The system uses no moving shaft or bushings inside the box, which could decrease the inner seal, as well as locking issues that normally prevent position sensors actuation.
How does the system identify the open or closed position?
There are sensors for each valve position.
What is “SMART TAP”?
It is a derivation system of the network cable that is fully integrated into the monitor and allows hot replacement of the remote signalling module or the solenoid valve without interrupting the operation of the rest of the network. It dispenses the use of “junction box”.
How is its electric installation made?
In models with remote signaling by sensors as in models with network remote signaling, the wires can be connected directly to the monitoring modules, which have pressure terminals to facilitate the connection. The modules are installed inside the monitor housing, protected against problems.
Can solenoid valves be used?
Yes, the solenoid valve used depends on the SVA model.
What are the electric configurations available?
We have point to point models in DC, Namur or Dry Contact (reed switch) versions. Or for industrial networks: AS-interface, DeviceNet, Profibus DP and Foundation Fieldbus.
